AIM

The primary goal of the course is to inform the students on the fundamental concepts, terminology and calculations pertinent to railroad construction.

CONTENT

This course contains; Introduction to railway engineering,Railway system components,Rail-wheel interaction,Mechanism of railway track,Rolling stocks,Railway operating,Slope,Superelevation,Transition curve - (1),Transition curve - (2),Traffic calculations,Investigation of short welding rails,Investigation of long welding rails,Switches and intersections.
