AIM
Analyze structures and understand their behaviour under dynamic loading effects.
CONTENT
This course contains; Introduction and free vibration response of single-degree-of-freedom (SDF) systems,Response of SDF systems to harmonic loading I,Response of SDF systems to periodic loading II,Solved examples – harmonic/periodic responses of SDF systems and response of SDF systems to impulse loading,Response of SDF systems to general dynamic loading,Concept of elastic response spectrum and basic processing of ground motion records,Dynamics and earthquake response of simple (elastic) structures,The concept of elastic & inelastic design spectrum,Generalized SDF systems,Free vibration response of multi-degree-of-freedom (MDF) systems,Modal analysis 1/2,Modal analysis 2/2,Numerical evaluation of dynamic response of MDF systems,Computer modeling of SDF and MDF systems.
