AIM

To introduce the properties of construction materials and their relation with the atomic structure, to introduce standards, law and regulations about materials and to explain the terms for material production and production methods appropriate to them, to introduce types of damage and damage ratios in different conditions, and to explain the defects according to physical and chemical properties of materials.

CONTENT

This course contains; Introduction (Material selection),Ferrous Metals,Steel, Aluminum,Constituent Materials of Concrete (Aggregates) - (1),Constituent Materials of Concrete (Aggregates) - (2),Constituent Materials of Concrete (Aggregates) - (3),Cementitious materials and cement,Mixing water and Admixtures, Concrete and Concrete production - (1),Mixing water and Admixtures, Concrete and Concrete production - (2),Hardened concrete properties,Concrete mix design - (1),Concrete mix design - (2),Special concretes,Properties of fresh concrete.
