AIM

Understanding cut and fill works in the construction of transportation projects, understanding earthwork distribution in transportation projects

CONTENT

This course contains; General Principles of Earthworks,Earthworks and Soil Properties,Surveying in Excavation Sites,Earth Volume Calculation in Excavation Sites,Determining Cross-Sections and Calculating Areas for Earthwork Quantities,Calculating Earth Volumes from Cross-Sectional Areas,Preparation of Volumes, Mass Haul Tables, and the Mass Haul Diagram,Earthwork Distribution Optimization,Soil Transport and Haulage Cost Calculation,Soil Compaction,Determination of Soil Bearing Capacity,Modern Methods and Applications Used in Earthwork Calculations,Swell, Freeze, and Heave Calculations,Review and Evaluation of Earthwork Projects.
