A graduation project presented at VPH 2026 in Milan

Laith Hijazi, Fares Berro and Albraa Alaraj presented their graduation project at VPH 2026, the 9th International Conference on the Virtual Physiological Human, held in Milan, Italy from 1 to 4 September 2026 under the theme “Towards the adoption of digital twins in healthcare”.

Their work, “AI-Based Neural Implicit Modelling of the Pediatric Trachea for Data-Driven Medical Device Design”, builds a computational anatomical reference of the paediatric airway from patient CT data, so that devices for children can be designed against it.

The project was supervised by Assist. Prof. Dr. Kevser Banu Köse of biomedical engineering. It was the first scientific conference for all three.
