AIM

The aim of this course is to examine cell, materials, and biochemical factors that play a vital role in regeneration of functional tissues.

CONTENT

This course contains; Introduction to cell and tissue engineering,Tissue types and extracellular matrixes,Cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions,Cell-biomaterials interactions,Mechanical properties of tissues and biomaterials,Stem cells in tissue engineering,Drug and gene delivery,Unit cell processes,Tissue engineering in skin regeneration,Tissue engineering in bone regeneration,Tissue engineering in nerve regeneration,Tissue engineering in cardiovascular regeneration,Tissue engineering in musculoskeletal regeneration,Ethical issues and regulatory perspectives.
